Course overview

The course studies English at entry level 2 or 3 covering the three main components of language: Reading, Writing and Speaking & Listening. Students will practise their skills in these areas through topical learning that is relevant to their life and work in the UK. By successfully completing this course, there is the opportunity to undertake nationally recognised ESOL exams at a level appropriate to the learner.

Session details

The course is located in the family room, close to the sports centre across the road from the school.

Eligibility criteria

This course is mainly available to parents/carers with children attending the school. Please contact the School or Telford and Wrekin community learning Team if you wish to attend this course but you don't have children at the school.  

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course. The course is free if you are: • Unemployed and have a child in the school. If you are employed, the course is part funded by the government and you will be required to make a contribution. Please contact us for more details. You can apply for a reduction to this fee if you feel it is unaffordable given your circumstances. Please contact us if you would like to make an application.
