Course overview

This course is intended to provide you with an opportunity to learn about macrame which is a method of knotting cord that can be used to create amazingly beautiful pieces for your home, including wall hangings, plant hangers, and accessories. 

During this course you will:

  • Learn about materials needed to start macrame projects
  • Learn and practice basic types macrame knots 
  • Create a simple macrame craft project, e.g. a plant hanger or creative wall hang
  • Develop ideas and different designs to personalise your macrame craft.

The sessions will provide an opportunity for you to practice new techniques and skills in a supportive environment. Learners with any special needs can discuss these with the tutor at the first session to ensure that the course is suitable or can be adapted for their needs.

There are 12 places available on this popular course.  We will let you know if we add you to a waiting list if the course is oversubscribed.

Session details

Sessions will be held weekly on Wednesday mornings from 9.30 am to 11.30 am from 21 September to 19 October.

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2022

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

The course is FREE for those who are eligible to enrol on the course.
