Our Functional Skills English courses provide an opportunity to work towards a City and Guilds qualification up to Level 2. They are for adults aged 19+ who don't already have a Level 2 qualification in English or who previously gained a level 2 qualification but currently have English skills below that level. Our Autumn 2026 courses have already started so in the meantime, if you register your interest a member of our team will get in touch to discuss courses with you in the Spring.

If you didn't attend one of our functional skills courses last year you will be asked to undertake a short skills assessment to help us advise you on an appropriate course.
Please bring with you any certificates or evidence of qualifications you already have for Maths or English.
