Course overview

The course aims to introduce learners to the rudiments of Autism Spectrum Conditions and provide some understanding and knowledge of the conditions.

On this course, you will learn about the following:

  • To understand characteristics of Autism Spectrum conditions in children and young people.
  • To understand how communications and behaviour link
  • To develop strategies for identifying and managing behaviour
  • To explore available support networks

There are 12 places available on this popular course.  We will let you know if we add you to a waiting list if the course is oversubscribed.

 

Session details

It can be difficult to make the first step into something new so on the first day of the course, the tutor will welcome you, answer any queries you have and provide more information about the course.

Sessions will be held weekly on Tuesday afternoons from 1pm to 3pm for 5 weeks.

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2022.

Unfortunately you will not be eligible to enrol on this course if you live in Wolverhampton, Walsall, Sandwell, Dudley, Solihull or Birmingham.

The course is FREE for those who are eligible to enrol.
