Course overview

Please arrive early to complete enrolment at 9.15am and then the course will start at 9.30am.

During this 1 day course, Learners will build an understanding on the importance of safe food handling practices and keeping foods safe. Topics covered include: food safety laws, types of contamination and the associated risks, bacteriology, personal hygiene, safe food handling practices and more. 

At the end of the session you will undertake a theory assessment (Multiple Choice Question Paper).

You must attend the information and enrolment session to enrol on this course. This course is run as a one day course on  10 February 2023

Eligibility criteria

To be funded for this course you must meet one of the following criterias

  • 18-24 Not in Education, Employment, Training
  • Under level 3 qualification
  • Single parent with at least one dependant child
  • Out of work for more than 12 months
  • Over 50 out of work or at risk of redundancy
  • Have a disability or health condition
  • Only one of the following courses would be funded in one calendar year Health & Safety, First Aid, Food Safety  Paediatric First Aid or CSCS
