Course overview

Please arrive early to complete enrolment at 9.15am and then the course will start at 9.30am.

The course is intended for anyone who is interested gaining a qualification in Health and Safety. On successful completion of the course, learners will gain a Level 2 qualification in Health and Safety in the Workplace, which is valid for three years. No previous knowledge is required to participate in the course. By the end of the course, learners will understand: • about health and safety principles and accident prevention • causes of hazards, risk and harm to workers • how to reduce risk

You must attend the information and enrolment session to enrol on this course. This course is run as a one day course on 13 February 2023

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course.

The course is free if you are:

  • Unemployed for more than 12 months

  • Aged between 19-24 and Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET)

  • Aged over 50 and unemployed or at risk of redundancy
  • Employed and without a Level 3 qualification, or with disabilities, or with special educational needs, or a single parent with at least one dependent child at home

If employed or you don't meet the above criteria you can attend by paying £56.00
