Course overview

The course is intended for anyone who cares for infants and children, such as parents, guardians, grandparents or those who have an involvement with infants and children and want to learn key paediatric first aid skills. It would be also be suitable for those who have gained a level 2 or 3 childcare qualification and have entered into an early years setting and wish to be included in the staff to child ratios to comply with the EYFS requirements. It is lively, fun and run in an interactive workshop style. On successful completion learners will be awarded an Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 3, which is valid for three years.

You must attend early at 9.15am for enrolment

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course.
The course is free if you are:

    • aged between 19-24 and Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET)
    • aged over 50 and unemployed or at risk of redundancy

    • employed and without a Level 3 qualification,
    • disabilities or special educational needs
    • a single parent with at least one child at home
    • Unemployed for 12 months or more

If you are employed, you will be required to make a contribution of £65.

Due to funding criteria, customers can only undertake one of the following  courses in Emergency First Aid Level 3, Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 3, Health & Safety Level 2 or Food Safety Level 2
