Course overview

During this half day course, learners will gain an understanding of how to safeguard and protect children, young people and adults. Topics covered include: safeguarding and protection responsibilities, different forms of abuse and how to respond to disclosure or suspected abuse.

 

Theory assessments will be held at the end of the course  (Multiple Choice Question Paper).

Session details

You must attend at 9.15am to enrol before the course starts at 9.30am and will end by 12.15pm

 

Eligibility criteria

Learners must be aged 19 or over to be eligible for this course.
The course is free if you are:

    • Aged between 19-24 and Not in Employment Education or Training (NEET)
    • Aged over 50 and unemployed or at risk of redundancy

    • Unemployed or employed and without a Level 3 qualification,
    • Disabilities or special educational needs
    • A single parent with at least one child at home
    • Unemployed for 12 months or more

If you are employed or do not meet the criteria, you are still welcome to sign up for a fee of £56

Due to funding criteria, customers can only undertake one of the courses in Emergency First Aid Level 3, Emergency Paediatric First Aid Level 3, Health & Safety Level 2 or Food Safety Level 2

What to Do Next

Funding is only available for one of the following courses per year Health & Safety, First Aid, Food Safety, Paediatric  First Aid or CSCS 

All other courses are not affected
