This course is aimed at Entry Level Learners.
This accredited course provides an opportunity to work towards a City and Guilds qualification in Functional Skills Maths up to Entry Level 3.
It is intended for people who do not already have an Entry Level qualification in maths and wish to gain a qualification in maths functional skills.
Come along and find out more about our Maths Functional Skills courses from our experienced tutors. If you didn't attend one of our functional skills courses last year you will be asked to undertake a short skills assessment to help us advise you on an appropriate course.
Please bring with you any certificates or evidence of qualifications you already have for Maths or English.
Our functional skills courses are offered across Telford in community venues. We run morning and afternoon sessions during school term time only. We offer four levels of maths functional skills from Entry 2 through to Level 2. There is opportunity to work towards a City and Guilds qualification in Functional Skills Maths and to progress between levels up to Level 2.

If we cannot offer you a place on your preferred course, we may be able to offer a course at another of our community venues in Telford.
Learners must be aged 19 or over from 1st August 2025 to be eligible for this course. You are not eligible for this course if you have already achieved a Level 2 in Maths(that is an ‘O’ level grade C or above, CSE grade 1, GCSE grade C/4 or above, Functional Skills Level 2, Basic Skills or Skills for Life Level 2 or similar) unless a skills assessment confirms that your skills are not currently at that level.
