The National Careers Service (NCS) provides information, advice and guidance to help you make decisions on learning, training and work opportunities. The service offers free confidential and impartial advice. This is supported by qualified careers advisers who you can access at different venues throughout the Telford and Shropshire area.

A free service designed to support unemployed people.
Job Mentors can work with unemployed aged 20-24, ex armed forces, over 50’s, graduates, those unemployed 6 months or more, and those facing redundancy on a 1-to-1 personal basis. They can help people think about their options and help them plan a way forward. They can help with searching for and finding work or learning opportunities. They can also help in putting together CVs and applications as well as helping people prepare for an interview. They also keep up to date with what’s going on in the Telford & Wrekin area and sometimes know about upcoming jobs before they’re advertised!
So whether someone needs more intensive support, or just wants a bit of help practicing some interview questions Job Box Mentors have the time, skills and knowledge to be able to help them succeed.
